Virtual Andy teaches social skills

The use of technology in the classroom is nothing new, but a UK primary school is breaking new ground by using technology to help pupils with autism communicate with their surroundings. It’s all part of a study being prepared for publishing this spring, looking at how interactive virtual characters might help autistic children, some with poorly developed social skills, adapt to the real world.
