Report: Norwegian state guilty of injustices against indigenous Sami population

A Norwegian parliamentary truth and reconciliation commission has published a report on historical injustices against the country’s indigenous groups, including so-called Norwegianisation policies which saw Sámi and Kven children banned from speaking their own languages – and in some instances taken from their parents to be raised by Norwegian families. I spoke about the report and what it means for the future with Monocle 24’s The Briefing programme:
