How the Arctic turned from peaceful region of cooperation to global flashpoing

This week, political leaders, scientists and representatives from indigenous peoples have donned their thickest winter coats and ventured north to Tromsø. The Norwegian city is host to the annual Arctic Frontiers summit. And as report from there for Inside Europe on Deutsche Welle, President Trump’s recent comments on Greenland is only one of many issues that have shaken up the usually peaceful collaboration between the Arctic states.
