The Arctic used to be a region of peaceful multinational scientific collaboration, but no more. It has become a stage for strategic ambition, led by Presidents Trump and Putin. So, what now for the future of the region? Well, that’s what top decision-makers, scientists and indigenous peoples’ representatives have been talking about this week in Tromsø, Norway, at the annual Arctic Frontiers conference.
