The UK government is fighting a multi-million Euro compensation claim with British military veterans who witnessed nuclear test explosions in the 1950s and 60s. Medics say many of them have developed severe health problems like cancer as a result of radiation. I met one of them in the town of Burntwood, near Birmingham in the English midlands.
