Cancer cells could be taking a direct hit

Researchers in the UK say they’ve developed a new drug which could help treat cancer with extreme precision and few or no side-effects for the patient. The team from Bradford University’s work, which has been published in the journal Cancer Research, involves modifying a toxin originally found in a crocus flower to make it kill ONLY cancer cells and nothing else – which if it works would seriously improve cancer patients’ quality of life.
