It's spreading: the shortage is now acute and national

People in Norway are desperately searching supermarket shelves for butter in order to make their seven different Christmas cakes this year. The main producer has run out and sky high import tariffs have prevented empty shelves being filled with foreign butter. I explained the precarious situation on the PM programme on BBC Radio 4:
