Toon trouble: UK animators ‘in crisis’

Postman Pat, Bob the Builder and In The Night Garden – they’re all global children’s animation hits made in the UK. But now the UK animation industry warns they can no longer afford to produce hight quality programmes like this at home. Without tax breaks from the government they’re finding it impossible to compete with other European animators, who do enjoy considerable state support.
