In Norway, the government wants to bring the procedure for male circumcision into the public health service. Opponents say no healthy baby boys should be operated on and want a ban, while Jewish and Muslim leaders welcome the government’s proposal, arguing a ban would effectively exclude Muslims and Jews from living in Norway.
