Manchester’s Christmas market gathers Europe

During the festive season, people are flocking to the many Christmas markets which each year spring up around Europe. Some perhaps think of Prague, Frankfurt or Strasbourg when planning that special Christmas market visit. But if you want a taste of all of those country’s markets in one shot, there’s Manchester in England. In only 16 years the Manchester Christmas market has grown from only a few stalls to one of Europe’s largest festive events, and in 2014 it’s grown even bigger. I went to sample the Bratwurst, Glüwein and crêpes for Deutsche Welle’s Inside Europe:
