Recent statistics show Norwegian police fired two shots in the whole of 2014, both of which were warning shots which did not injure anyone. In ten of the past 12 years, Norwegian police have not killed anyone at all. This has led international media ask questions like; why? I tried to answer some of them on Monocle 24’s The Daily:
